Many people are just finding out that Facebook makes it very difficult to get ALL the updates from the pages you ACTUALLY WANT to receive updates from because Facebook hand picks what shows up in your newsfeed, even if you’ve checked off “show in news feed”. I have talked before in the past about how since Facebook went public, it would like businesses, interest, and groups to pay for the privilege for posting. For us at Frugal Desert Dwellers, it would cost about $100 per post for all of our fans to see each post

So you’re not seeing every post from us and you really want to follow us.  Here is a temporary solution that Facebook just introduced:

Go to http://www.facebook.com/frugaldesertdwellers and click on the button that says “Liked” (because you’ve already liked us). You’ll see “Get Notifications”. Check that off and you’ll never miss a post again (supposedly). And because Facebook only allowed around 10% of our fans to see recent posts, because we didn’t pay to “promote” them, feel free to look on our FB page to see some posts you might have missed.
